🎶Glow Music x MYCincinnati: A Musical Exchange

A Continued Partnership
✦ Glow Music continues its collaboration with MYCincinnati, connecting our concert artists with youth in elementary and intermediate string and wind ensembles. Last year, five of our musicians visited MYCincinnati in two groups. They made music with the students, shared selections from their concert repertoire, and assisted with ensemble rehearsals — as shown above. In our post-recital survey, one of the concert artists even said it was his favorite part of the entire project!
Why This Matters
✦ For advanced musicians, engaging with young learners is a meaningful experience. It offers a chance to reflect on music’s role in life and develop the ability to communicate their craft in accessible, relatable ways — a valuable skill in any artistic career.
✦ For the students at MYCincinnati, seeing and hearing accomplished musicians perform live is both refreshing and inspiring. One student was so moved, she attended our concert the following week with her mom!

Looking Ahead
✦ We’re excited to return this year and build on these connections. Artists will share their experiences as performers, composers, or students — and one of our composers has written a special one-minute piece just for this visit!
✦ The visit will also include a preview of our upcoming May concert.
