First Thing First - Concerts! Past and Future
Songs of Our Lands were Heard!
Concert Number Three - Songs of Our Lands was a huge success! We held three concerts in Dayton, Cincinnati, OH, and Northern Kentucky University. Janani and Yeonkyung poured their hearts out, performing songs in Malay, Tamil, Korean, and English. The songs resonated with the audiences regardless of the language they spoke.
Concert Number Three: Songs of Our Lands at Knox Church, OH, March 11, 2023
We commissioned a song set in Singlish (English spoken by modern Singaporeans) to Nicholas Ho (‘23, CCM). A video clip of the song set, Singbites, has gone viral among young Singaporeans and earned more than 250K views! Major Singapore media outlets, such as The Strait Times, TODAY, Mothership, Tamil Murasu, wrote about the song set, which described the taste, smell, and scenery of Singapore. Glow Music is proud to make an impact on the cultural scene of Singapore and a meaningful contribution to the body of Asian art songs.

The Strait Times is the most widely circulated newspaper in Singapore.
Fall Collage!
You don’t want to drive out to a concert hall and keep it quiet for an hour? Here is Glow Music’s Fall Collage for your at-home entertainment! The Fall Collage is a virtual classical music concert streamed from our YouTube Channel (@concerts.glowmusic). At our inaugural Fall Collage in November, we hosted four high-quality performances preceded by each performer’s introduction.
If you missed it, you can watch it here!
Please subscribe to our channel as we plan to upload more videos from the past and interview and performance videos of upcoming concerts!
Concert Number Four: SAVE THE DATE
We are over-the-moon thrilled to announce that Concert Number Four will be held at ARCO, the East Price Hill’s cultural landmark, on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 3PM! It’s a beautiful venue renovated in 2019, and we are excited to see what we can bring to the neighborhood. Bill and I visited to tour ARCO in October, and it was a fantastic venue with a Boston grand piano, performance-friendly facilities, and AN ELEVATOR! (;

We received some of the most high-quality performances through the applications. After rounds of interviews, performers and composers are set! They are students of NKU and CCM, both undergraduates and graduates. On top of the concert, the student-artists will visit MYCincinnati, a free classical music ensemble education program, and interact with the youth groups for a day!
We will announce the lineup on social media soon. If you haven’t, follow our Facebook Page and Instagram @concerts.glowmusic. No interest in social media? Visit our website.
We Appreciate Our Donors!

Our Growth on Web Presence, Design Intern Alex Lowenthal
Have you noticed our social media has been more dynamic than ever? We are happy to introduce the power source behind all the beautiful work, Alex Lowenthal, our designer/publicity assistant!
Alex is a third-year undergraduate Communication Design student at the University of Cincinnati, and she's currently in a co-op semester, working with us and other companies. She did a fantastic job managing our social media calendar, coming up with many graphics, and finally, rebranding! Alex left the beautiful trademark, logo, color scheme, and typography. Even though we won't be together in the new year, we will be maintaining what Alex has left to us. Thank you, Alex, for your hard work!

Glow Music found Alex through participating in the Co-Op program of the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). We consider it important to create local employment and help students to achieve their potential!
So… the numbers!
Social media presence is more important than ever, and Glow Music saw a significant increase in exposure! Salute to the combined effort of Alex and Yeon-Kyung! NEW LOGO
We are excited to launch our new logo! The rebranding project was a big part of our fall operation. The new logo reflects the dynamic nature of our projects, the aspiring and high-caliber arts we pursue, and the authentic and genuine connection we aim to build between the people involved.

Interim treasurer
As we had to bid farewell to our founding member, Hyejung Yoon, we invited Matt Williamson to serve as our interim treasurer. Matt is a professional trombone player and plays with Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, and Dubuque Symphony Orchestra (IA). Matt is also an experienced administrator. In his previous positions at Advising and Dean’s Offices at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, he successfully managed student records with attention to detail and a greater sense of responsibility. He has been playing an important role in our grant application and fundraising. | ![]() Matt Williamson |
